LSMNJ’s Exclusive Memory Support Program
Lutheran Social Ministries of New Jersey takes great pride in the compassionate care it provides to our residents facing memory challenges including dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. Personalized care plans and a structured daily routine are developed to accommodate varying levels of memory loss and cognitive impairments.
With that commitment to our residents’ well-being in mind, LSMNJ created The Strada—a proprietary memory support program aimed at helping memory support residents thrive.
A cornerstone of the program are themed areas designed by Certified Dementia Practitioners, which together create a village environment for residents. These vignettes, meant to engage residents and stimulate their senses, include a Post Office, Grocery Store, Music Hall, and Indoor Gardens.
The Strada was recently awarded the Excellence in Innovation Award presented by LeadingAge NJ (the statewide association of not-for-profit senior care organizations). Residents with memory care needs at the Villa enjoy a private suite, a socially-engaging environment, and are encouraged to walk freely throughout its secure neighborhood, known as Heritage Square.
