Residents and families share testimonials about The Villa

We visited many places in Connecticut and New Jersey, but when we found The Villa at Florham Park, we immediately felt a connection. We had a good feeling the minute we pulled up. All the other places didn’t feel like home. They felt more like hospitals. The Villa feels like home. There are so many things we enjoy about living here. The apartments are nicer than any other places we saw. And The Villa has activities to suit people with varied interests and abilities. There’s no shortage of social opportunities, either. Everyone is friendly and we’re like one big family.

To say The Villa surpassed my expectations would not do justice to my experience. The Villa’s emphasis on personal, individual care was apparent from the start. All of The Villa’s suites and apartments are private. Many of the team members have been here a decade or more. That makes a big difference. They really get to know the residents.

I was feeding my dad a piece of pecan pie at a holiday dinner. He smiled at me and said, ”lovely.” Before I moved my dad to The Villa, he hadn’t spoken in almost two years. My word of advice? You don’t have to go the caregiver route alone. The Villa makes it easier.

I give all the credit to the Villa. With the help of the nursing, physical and occupational therapy staff, I continued to improve physically and emotionally; the results have been spectacular. I’m making tremendous strides to a full recovery. I’ve enjoyed the beauty of the community — inside and outside. The gardens and grounds are very inviting, and this place is immaculate. This is a great place to come for a retreat. I’m going to enroll in The Villa’s Outpatient care program.
